Jefferson County Health Department: Social Distancing

My fellow producer, Andrew Townson, produced this spot.  As you can see, I was involved in it, this time as an actor.  We were told we needed to do a spot promoting social distancing.  What we heard sounded kind of funny so Andrew pitched the idea that you see here, namely, it doesn't take itself too seriously.  To our delight and surprise, the county approved the script!  So here I am keeping my distance from people and not shaking their hands.

This was all shot in one day.  That's Charter Media Producer Ricky Harmon that you see on the park bench with me, possibly reprising his Nerd role from the Reliable Electric spot he starred in.  As I recall, the move I make away from the camera in the final shot was a last minute improvisation on my part.  Most people around the office got a kick out of it, the client loved it and it entered heavy rotation in the Birmingham area.  All credit goes to Andrew for the script, direction and editing.
