Featured Cover of the Month
From David Wright:
Avengers West Coast #91
(February 1993) "War Toy"
I was planning an Odin cover for this month as a tribute to the old man, but I ended up skipping August and feel the need to play a little catch-up. So for September, I'm turning for the first time to the West Coast series. This month, I'm featuring the very first cover appearance of Alkhema. Volume Three readers were introduced to her during the Ultron Unlimited story and saw her again in August in the pages of The Ultron Imperative. Her first appearance was actually on the last page of Avengers West Coast #90, but this month's issue has her teaming up with Ultron to give the West Coast team some problems.
Roy & Dann Thomas (writers), David Ross (penciler), Tim Dzon (inker), Steve Dutro (letterer), Bob Sharen (colorist), Nel Yomtov (editor), Tom DeFalco (editor-in-chief).

SPECIAL BONUS!
The final page of The Ultron Imperative may give some readers a sense of deja vu. That's because that page, drawn by Klaus Janson, takes its inspiration from the final page of Vol. 1 #57 (Oct 1968) -- the first appearance of Vision, drawn by John Buscema and George Klein. On that final page of #57, Roy Thomas included the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Shelley...the same poem he has Vision recite on page 27 of The Ultron Imperative. An excerpt from each of the pages is included below.
