Solo Avengers #14
(January 1989) "Then the Widow Calls!" and "Court Costs!"

This month sees the beginning of a new era in Volume 3 of the AVENGERS. And to help kick it off, I have dug up what I believe to be the first AVENGERS work by Alan Davis. If you're aware of something earlier, please let me know. The first half of this book is a chapter in an arc featuring Hawkeye and Black Widow. But that is not why I've selected this cover. The back-up feature stars She-Hulk in a humorous short tale where we see her juggle activities as both a lawyer and a super-heroine. With the pencils, of course, by our own Mr. Davis. The cover artist is Sandy Plunkett
