Featured Cover of the Month
From David Wright:
Hello, again, everyone. There hasn't been an update to this section since September and we apologize for that. It was due to circumstances not entirely within Van's control. I've agreed to take over hosting this section to help out. Let the record show that I'm open to submissions for this section. I will need you to include a cover scan and the pertinent info to go along with it, and I'll be sure to give you full credit. And, now, to kick the New Year off right, let's get to January's Cover Of The Month!
Avengers Vol. 1 #160
(June 1977) "The TRIAL!"
Since the George Perez Era of Volume Three has recently ended, I thought we could mark the occasion here by looking back at Perez's first ever AVENGERS cover. That's exactly what we get with #160. Astute readers will know that George's first issue as penciler was issue 141. His first cover didn't come until nearly two years later as Gil Kane and Jack Kirby were providing most of the them during this period. The story in this issue is about the Grim Reaper putting Vision and Wonder Man on trial to determine which one is truly his brother. Origins of each are recounted.
Jim Shooter (writer), George Perez (penciler), Pablo Marcos (inker), Denise Wohl (letterer), Roger Slifer and David Anthony Kraft (colorists), Archie Goodwin (editor).
